Q. Where do we start?
A. The first step to take is to decide exactly what it is you want. This could be a new house, larger kitchen, extra bedroom or a garage. Or perhaps your build is more commercial by its nature. A small sites of houses and flats, or other commercial projects including care homes, doctor and dentist surgeries, offices and factories Once this decision has been made we offer a full and comprehensive package to help you complete your build. From the initial meeting to discuss your requirements to the final completion. We offer an architectural service that will take your ideas and turn them into reality providing you with drawings for your approval. Once all drawings have been agreed, we submit a planning application on your behalf. We guide you through the planning and building control process step by step, making sure that you are fully informed and understand what is happening at all times. If you already have plans drawn up then you are well on your way. We will be happy to work with your architect / structural engineer to ensure your building is built to your satisfaction
Q. How much will all this cost?
A. The cost of architectural plans will vary depending on the size of the build and the complexity. With over 30 years experience in designing home new builds, extensions and conversions, we give you the time and professional approach you deserve. We will outline these costs to you in writing prior to any drawings being completed. Planning and building control fees are specific to your local authority and these can be viewed on their web site
Q. What do I do once I have my plans?
A. Once your plans have been completed to your satisfaction M. J. Purdy Construction Ltd will give you a full free quotation for your build. We will include a schedule of works which will detail all of the materials and labour included in the quotation.
Q. How long will it take?
A. In your quotation there will be a program of works which will lay out what we expect to achieve each week and how many weeks this will take. It is important for you to know just how long the project will take.
Q. How will we know what’s going on with our works?
A. Your personal project manager will keep you up to date on the progress of works and include you in all decisions that affect your build. This will consist of a weekly update and site meetings to discuss any concerns or worries you may have.
Q. How can we check up on you and the standard of your work?
A. We will accompany you to see completed works by M. J. Purdy Construction Ltd. All works carried out by M J Purdy Construction have the added insurance that we are answerable to the Guild Of Master Craftsmen, who will be happy to answer any questions you have about our company. We also encourage dialogue with our current and previous clients and are happy to arrange visits to sites or our completed projects.
